Ivana Bagaric

Ivana Bagaric, born 1995 in Zurich, received her BSc and MSc degree in mechanical engineering from ETH Zurich in 2018 and 2020, respectively. She spent six months at the University of California, Santa Barbara (USA) for her master thesis. 

During her studies, she conducted an industrial internship at Abbott Medical AG (Zurich) working on bearingless motors for extracorporeal and fully implantable ventricular assist devices, followed by an employment as a working student. As a second industrial internship she was part of the research and development team at Levitronix GmbH (Zurich), working on bearingless motor technology for the semiconductor industry.

She joined the Power Electronics Systems Laboratory as a PhD student in September 2020, where she is focusing on the mechatronics of bearingless motor systems in novel applications.
